Câu điều kiện loại 1
Là câu điều kiện cần sử dụng để nói về sự việc tất cả thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai

E.g.: If you don’t work hard, you won’t pass this entrance examination. (Nếu bạn ko làm cho việc chăm chỉ, bạn sẽ ko vượt qua kỳ kiểm tra đầu vào này.)
If it doesn’t rain, I will go to lớn school. (Nếu trời không mưa, tôi sẽ đi học.)
Câu điều kiện loại 2
Là câu điều kiện cần sử dụng để nói về sự việc không đúng, hoặc không tồn tại thật ở hiện tại.

E.g.: If I were rich, I would buy a oto. (Nếu tôi phong phú, tôi sẽ sở hữu một chiếc xe hơi.)
If I were you, I would tell the truth. (Nếu tôi là bạn, tôi sẽ nói sự thật.)
Câu điều kiện loại 3
Là câu điều kiện cần sử dụng để nói về sự việc không tồn tại thật vào vượt khứ (thường sử dụng để bày tỏ sự nuối tiếc, hối hận)

E.g.: If I had known the answer, I would have told you. (Nếu tôi biết câu trả lời, tôi đã nói với bạn rồi.)
Những biện pháp khác để diễn đạt câu điều kiện
Unless = If ….not
E.g.: If you don’t work hard, you can’t earn enough money for living. (Nếu bạn không làm việc chăm chỉ, bạn sẽ ko thể kiếm đủ tiền để trang trải.)
= Unless you work hard, you can’t earn enough money for your living. (Trừ Lúc bạn làm việc chăm chỉ, bạn ko thể kiếm đủ tiền để trang trải.)
Without: không tồn tại = if … not
E.g.: Without water, life wouldn’t exist. (Thiếu nước, sự sống sẽ không tồn tại.)
= If there is no water, life wouldn’t exist. (Nếu không có nước, sự sống sẽ ko tồn tại.)
Lưu ý
Bạn tất cả thể diễn tả câu điều kiện mà lại không cần cần sử dụng if giỏi unless bằng biện pháp đảo ngữ.
E.g.: Were I rich, I would help you.
= If I were rich, I would help you. (Nếu tôi giàu có, tôi sẽ góp bạn.)
Had I known her, I would have sầu made friends with her.
= If I had known her, I would have made friends with her. (Nếu tôi biết cô ấy, tôi sẽ kết bạn với cô ấy.)
Ta gồm thể kết hợp điều kiện 2 cùng điều kiện 3 vào một câu, đây sẽ được gọi là “If trộn” hoặc “Câu điều kiện trộn”
E.g.: If I hadn’t stayed up late last night, I wouldn’t be so tired now. (Nếu đêm qua tôi ko thức khuya thì bây giờ tôi đã ko mệt mỏi như vậy.)

Đôi Khi thì hiện tại đơn được cần sử dụng cho cả hai mệnh đề của câu điều kiện để diễn tả một sự thật hiển nhiên; nó được gọi là zero conditional.
E.g.: If we don’t water these flowers, they die. (Nếu ta không tưới hoa, bọn chúng sẽ chết.)
Mệnh đề chính vào câu điều kiện loại 1 bao gồm thể là một câu đề nghị hoặc lời mời.
E.g.: If you see James at the meeting, please tell hlặng I say hi. (Nếu bạn gặp Peter tại cuộc họp, gửi lời xin chào anh ấy giùm tôi.)
If you are free now, have a cup of tea with me. (Nếu bây giờ bạn rảnh, hãy uống một tách bóc tsoát với tôi.)
